Yes, in certain situations we can provide a fixed fee and this is usually for the commercial transactional cases. We will also provide an estimate where we can, even if we cannot provide a fixed fee.
We may at times request monies are placed into our trust account but we will discuss this with you. Usually this will be for covering barrister fees, other third party fees and expert fees but occasionally we may ask for monies in trust to cover ongoing legal costs.
Our lawyers may be able to have a brief conversation with you at no charge to see if you do require a lawyer or if you can run the matter yourself. For example minor civil claims in the Magistrates Court require self-representation and lawyers are unable to act.
Our lawyers always aim to communicate and respond to clients as quickly as we can but certainly aim to do so within 24-48 hours.
